Chinese Folk Tales

This illustration is based upon the story from "Journey to the West". The Monkey King, Sun Wu Kong in Chinese, is a very popular story in Chinese culture. I wanted to illustrate certain characters from different tales/myths in an old Japanese Print Block style.

We were each given a common everyday item, and asked to create a brochure based on it's lifespan and history.
The photographs and images were taken from online sources, the illustrations done in illustrator.
